This site includes both a picture and audio gallery that will continue to be added to as resources become available.
The picture galley contains resources that have been provided by Museums that have worked with E2BN on this project. There are albums covering slavery, abolitionists, resistance, the campaign and Thomas Clarkson.
The audio gallery contains poems and speeches written by those involved in the abolition campaign as well as the pro-slavery lobby. The extracts have been recorded by professional actors. They offer a powerful tool for demonstrasting the arguments and beliefs of those involved on both sides of the campaign. However, care will be needed when using some resources because of the language used and the potential for misinterpretation.
There is also a section that contains original source documents and translations, that can be used in lessons or for research purposes.
